Kiva.Org is a non-profit organization that helps facilitate micro-lending to entrepreneurs around the world with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. Leveraging the internet and a worldwide network of micro-finance institutions, Kiva lets individuals make small loans as little as $25 up to any amount to help create opportunity around the world.
Kenn, Megan and a good friends of theirs Paul and Vanessa Robichaux partnered up together to get behind this organization. Since April 2008 our profile has given over 115 loans to entrepreneurs around the world.
Our moto and vision behind our involvement has been:
“Because we are fortunate enough to be able to… and we believe the old saying “Give a man a fish and feed him for a day… Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime””
It’s easy to get involved and we highly encourage it, its extremely easy, low risk and truly makes a difference.
